Providing You With the Orthopedic Care You Deserve

"Our mission at Munster Orthopaedic Institute, LLC is to provide exceptional, personalized and compassionate care to patients in order to maximize their quality of life."

Prior to the existence of Munster Orthopaedic Institute (MOI), Dr. Jeffrey Tioco worked in Northwest Indiana for 6 years with another group of Orthopedic Surgeons. In 2007, he decided to venture off and establish his own individual practice. Initially, his office started off very small and simple at 7550 Hohman Avenue in Munster, Indiana, along with an additional and still existing location in St. John, Indiana. Damage from the flood in September of 2008 resulted in a relocation of the Hohman office to rented space inside Community Hospital for 2 years.

In 2010, Dr. Tioco was able to purchase MOI’s new home and now permanent location at 9132 and 9136 Columbia Avenue in Munster. Previously an aged medical office building, the entire office was reconstructed to be a new, state of the art Orthopedic facility. 2012 welcomed a new Podiatrist to the practice, Dr. Michael D. Dichoso and opened its Physical Therapy Department.

The newest addition to MOI will include an Orthopedic Immediate Care in Schererville. Once opened, this will give our patients another convenient location to see our Physicians and for Physical Therapy needs.

Munster Orthopaedic Institute’s Physical Therapy Department is conveniently located in the same building that office visits are held. This allows the doctors to check on the progress of patients during therapy sessions while answering any questions or concerns if needed.

Rehabilitation strategies involve specific exercises to strengthen muscles, relieve pain, improve range of motion and increase endurance amongst other benefits. The equipment and machines at MOI allow us to work with patients’ upper/lower extremities and spine, as well as focus on balance and stretching techniques.

To decrease wait time on the day of your visit, fill out the three forms below and bring them in with you. Thanks!
